Hey Prazzlers,

Welcome to this week's edition of The Culture Dispatch!

June is here and we are excited to share the offerings of the art world.

This week, the Triennial of Photography Hamburg opens its 9th edition across eight major institutions, while London Gallery Weekend brings together 120+ galleries across the city for its sixth edition.

On the exhibitions side: In the wake of his passing, Julio Le Parc's exhibition opens next week and Hamburg's St. Nikolai Memorial's Fire exhibition is one to anticipate. We also have Abdulhamid Kircher at Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Michael Armitage at Palazzo Grassi in Venice, Marcel Duchamp at MoMA in New York, and Vivienne Westwood in China.

On the opportunities side: a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant of up to $50,000, a Casa Gràcia Residency in Menorca supported by Hauser & Wirth, a $1,000 grant for recent MFA graduates, and a residency at Stove Works in Tennessee.

Black Seas – Scores for the Sonic Eye is the Romanian Pavilion’s presentation for the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia 2026. Developed by artists Anca Benera and Arnold Estefan, the exhibition brings together sound, moving image, sculpture, and scientific material to create a shared field of inquiry into the Black Sea.
